Can Antiperspirants or Deodorants cause Breast Cancer?

Myth

We all love our favorite branded deodorants, specially in this boiling Summer. We just can’t imagine leaving home without using them.

So what next? We have to give up on our deodorants & perfumes too. What if we stink bad outside, we shall be preserved inside.

Truth

Hurray! Good News. We need not to get apart from our favorite perfumes. Not at least for the fear of causing Breast Cancer.

As per the research of National Cancer Institute, there is no conclusive evidence that link the use of deodorants & perfumes with causes of Cancer.

Hazards of Deodorants

Though some random researches have suggested that these deodorants contain harmful substances such as aluminum compounds and parabens that can be absorbed through the skin or enter the body through open pores caused by shaving.

The Perfumes contain parabens that can be hazardous if the get in contact with our skin. It’s always advisable to use dermatologically recommended perfumes or on your clothes.

But here’s some relief …..

No clinical studies have yet given a definitive answer to link the deodorants with the causes of breast cancer. No conclusive remarks have been made in support of this myth yet.
